SONATA ARCTICA Frontman To Perform With SINGLIVE UK
March 14, 2008Singlive UK, which is said to be Britain's largest independent singing organization, has invited Tony Kakko of the Finnish melodic metallers SONATA ARCTICA to perform two of his songs with 320 singers at The Sage, Gateshead, UK on Saturday, April 19.
"Sing The Classics And Classic Rock" will be performed at 3:00 p.m. and a second show at 7:30 p.m.

Following their sold-out headline appearance at London's Electric Ballroom in November 2007, SONATA ARCTICA have confirmed a run of dates for April, taking in both Ireland and the UK.
In support of this series of shows, Spinefarm Records UK will release a "best-of" album on April 21; titled "The Collection 1999-2006", it features tracks from the first 10 years of the band's career. This 17-track compilation includes new versions of the SONATA staples "Replica" and "My Land" (both of which originally appeared on the group's 1999 debut, "Ecliptica"),and will be available for a limited time with a bonus DVD comprising live, acoustic and cover material, as well as promo clips and rare live footage.
"The Collection 1999-2006" was released in Finland in November 2006 via Spinefarm.
